Question ..." can high cortisol levels cause hair loss " ... from a search assist ... Yes, high cortisol levels can lead to hair loss by pushing hair follicles into a resting phase, which can result in increased shedding. This is often linked to stress, as elevated cortisol disrupts the normal hair growth cycle.

From yesterday all those rockers pics from the 60's and 70's and now .. just a note. It seemed to me all the ones with a good head of hair had thinner faces and most likely lower cortisol levels than the ones with a more round face and a lot less hair .. fwiw.
