Fred, just as I did on the NYSE short interest news, let me point out that the short interest ratio for the Nasdaq National Market System continued to fall. It was 2.84 in Jan and 2.63 in Feb. And, just as on the NYSE, low holiday volume would make the Jan ratio look higher, so looking back at Dec, we find that the ratio was 3.13 then, 19% higher than now.

Careful what conclusions you draw from headlines like "Short Interest...Sets a Record".
