I don't take any actions by random people I don't know to be well thought out. So I don't make a lot of assumptions about quality of work I can't verify. I do know that the drill in the picture you showed is pretty limited as to the size and type of screw it is going to drive.

But sure, it could be strong enough to survive a hit by a fully loaded semi for all I know. But I am not going to assume it.

WTF was the rationale for whatever was stuffed into the knot? Other than performance art, that is. So they went to some effort to make it a prop. And props, by their nature don't emphasis functionality.
