Putting someone who could credibly be viewed as a puppet of the US is not going to be a popular choice with a lot of those in between the fundamentalists and the ones who want a return to the Iran of old.
Yeah, that's a good point.

I hope Erdogan or the new leader of Syria can come up with ideas of their own. Seems like a prime opportunity for them. Kushner would be wise to leverage their influence.
