Scumbria,

Like Charlie said, do your homework. This fanciful speculation helps noone.

TSMC was the first pure integrated circuit (IC) foundry company in the world. Since its founding, the company has been dedicated to providing manufacturing services for advanced ICs. The company's charter prevents TSMC from designing or making its own brandname IC end products. For this reason, TSMC is a partner, and not a competitor, for other semiconductor companies. TSMC's success in the foundry business has served as a model for the many new entrants in the market. With TSMC as the engine of change, what was once just a concept of a pure foundry is today a multi-billion dollar industry.

Tsmc can make cpus for intel amd nsm idti till the cows moo
without any cross channel conflict.

It is only when they sell a product to the same customers as their customers customer is it a problem...

For Example:
if they owned the c6 and to sell the x86 part to cpq while also
making k6's for amd then there would be a cross channel conflict.

Seriously if you just look at the amd mess/thread with all
of the insults and mis information and baiting it is just
too too bad....it makes the real quality posts hard to find.
I was a little rough on you in my other post and I apologize.
