Chandler et.al.

I E mailed the following to TC2000 support. Have not heard from them as of yet so I thought I might give this thread a try.

MESAGE TO TC2000:

I created the following scan:

L < (MinL9.1) and H-L > H2-L2 and H-L > H3-L3 and H-L > H4-L4 and H-L > H5-L5 and H-L > H6-L6 and H-L > H7-L7 and H-L > H8-L8 and H-L > H9-L9 and H-L > H10-L10 and H-L > H11-L11 and (C-L)/(H-L) > .74 and V > 1

I want the scan to make a selection of stocks that:

A) Make a 10 period low today
B) Today's range is the largest range range of the last 10 bars
C) Today's close must be in the top 25% of today's range
D) Volume must be greater than 1 ( This eliminates indicators & funds)

My problem is that the scan is not working. On data to 2/25/98, I worked the scan where Micron Technology should have been selected among others. But it did not make the selection.

I use this selection process re-worked for Metastock and it will make the selection. Since I have a larger data base in TC2000, I would like to get to work as an Easy Scan.

Can you tell me what's wrong with the parameters.

END OF MESSAGE

The above scan is for Linda Raschke & Larry Connors SPENT MARKET TRADING PATTERN (SMTP)

Myron......actually, it wasn't me that suggested TSV(9) with 13 MA, but will try it. I use 8 and 18, with a tighter MA, but in a 5 day (weekly) mode.

Hi Myron,
<<<I use a few different settings on TSV. The main one I use for buy signals is a 21 day crossing its own 13 day average and then being over zero as well. I look at 5 days for short term reversals.>>>
I have ran the above on the charts you posted (Charts for quick cash thread) and cannot generate the conditions listed above. Did use different settings on these stocks or am I missing something?
Thanks, Carl
