If the orange one had ordered American troops to go uninvited to Greenland, they would have symbolicly had to confront NATO allies. He may not comprehend it, but that would be a big deal in Europe.

I think you are under valuing the symbolism. It was a sign of solidarity standing openly with Denmark and Greenland against Trump The military, and people sent to Greenland was a slap in the face of Trump. And you can see how serious that was because Trump immediately put tariffs on the eight European countries that went. Tariffs he had to back off of as others came to their aid. The war between our allies and Trump is now out in the open, and the game is to weaken the US and strengthen the western allies with new trade and military alliances. I knew Trump was headed in this direction a year ago because I knew our allies hated Trump, and the only friends he had were the world's criminals. And Carney is the face of the resistance. I can't believe some people thought Carney was kow towing to Trump. What we will see next is our allies giving Carney and Canada the power to fight Trump by investing in Canada and supporting him when needed. Countries will sell America, and buy Canadian, from bonds, to dollars to stocks and investments. It is open warfare now, and I can't even imagine what happens over the next three years, because even if Trump dies, Vance is just as bad.
