A note of nostalgia.

I was born in '53 - I remember when Bob Fouts and Lon Simmons broadcast the 49ers on KSFO. Best I can determine that was 1960.

p.s. Not Top 40 radio, KSFO was very cool before San Francisco FM underground radio took over. To my best recollection I often switched AM radio between Al "Jazzbeaux" Collins and Wolfman Jack on powerful XERB out of the Baja. Especially in cars that did not have an FM dial. That's a story for another day.

KSFO became right wingnut radio along with many local AM stations in recent decades. Another corporate sellout.
