I don't like the idea of the trade schools replacing higher education.

All people can benefit from education. If one wants to be a plumber fine, both my brother and grandfather were plumbers, but first get educated.

I also don't like the idea that college is for learning a trade, per se.

First and foremost in IMO, all education should be about developing the mind.

No one is born smart, we learn to be smart.

Where the Asians, and Nordic countries excel, is that they understand the importance of education cold.

Our president just defunded the department of education! Imagine.

James Flynn, of the Flynn effect said afte we instituted mandatory school K through 12, the IQ's of kids as measured by the Stanford Binet today are about 60 points higher than my grandparents.

What happens as people develop their minds through eduction, including self education, is that they go from concrete thinkers, how we are born, to abstract thinkers.

Our present president is the result of our lack of a good educational system!
