"Mild weather throughout the rest of the nation has put a damper on
winter sports fun, too. American Skiing, which owns ski resorts in the
Northeast, and Vail Resorts are having tough years. Sales of outerwear
at North Face could be hit as well, as could sales of hyperbolic skis
made by K2."
