I did the same thing and getting the updates, my computer won't take windows 11, I have a new computer I am not using yet, the old one works fine

If you're running 10, MSFT is only updating security. I guess that means Defender and any major exposed blunders on their part. If you're running another AV, I guess that means you won't get an update unless somebody's essentially taken over the OS. But not all are happy with 11 updates, eg,
