For silver the most basic question: for years and years the notional amount traded and held of futures far exceeded annual silver production by some order of magnitudes according to Andy Schectman. Why?

Maybe the only reason is: because the financial powers that be found folks willing to trade those volumes. It's a weird situation. Guy claims its a standout in this regard. Not sure that's true with the financilization of everything. But it is good to see it bust.

All the bugs and some others always calling for bond-mageddon. That game is so precious. Every possible stop will be pulled out to keep it going. The only end I can see is some some of strategic default that is called something else. But if there is no end, the bugs are right about one thing: the dollar truly becomes toilet paper and hard assets of every kind are the place to be.

Oops, looks like I'll get my tax write off with soxs and I need to figure out what puts to buy.

What a game. What a time to be living in, eh?
