yeah, I had the same complaint. The original guy was Joel Hodgeson, he was real fond of inside jokes and they got pretty lame. He's gone and the new guy, Mike Nelson, (who was the head writer the whole time) has taken over. Last season was the first on Sci-Fi Channel, they are not on Comedy Central any more. Nelson is a good writer. The Sci-Fi Channel has deemed that only sci-fi movies will appear on MST3K now. The 97 season is over, there are re-runs now, the new season (season 9) starts in about 2 weeks. If you get Sci-Fi Channel, check it out one time; Friday evening or late Friday evening (two times on Friday). My wife hates it, she hates slapstick humor and stupid jokes, but sometimes if she's in the mood she watches and laughs. I have to tape the shows and watch them after midnight on the weekend because the BOY drowns out anything that is on the TV except Barney, for whom he remains very quiet. Anyway, the micro bus has one of those white fuzzy fake fur things on the steering wheel, and the Satellite of Love has a new set. Season 8 was really good, they had some really bad movies. The Leech Woman, I Was a Teenage Werewolf (Michael Landon's first film), etc. And only one bad show all year. That's enough of that, let's move on....
