Third Major Event in the History of Electricity, after the invention and the lightbulb and the lighting of towns and cities.

Excerpted from "California Energy Deregulation," by Jay Lasus, 2/26/98.

The "event" that Enron is referring to is the deregulation of the electric and gas utilities.
California is one of seven states, so far, that has enacted legislation ending the
regulation of electric utilities. This law is expected to take effect on March 31.
Deregulation in large states like California should provide the momentum
necessary to speed up similar legislation in other states and eventually make
deregulation federal law.

Next story---- fears--- the new one-- old rusted weapons are being pulled out..

Japan has taken out 16800 and ready to move on to 17200 next level-- ASEANs are rebounding since HSI took out 10000 level it has never reallly looked back -- now within a week of this cassandras will harp a new tune that of 'inflation' wage inflation productivity loss-- moreover they will discount commodity prices as only few percent of cost and wage the major determinant of inflationary pressures... but do you all remeber when commodity started a blip up markets were sold they kind of forgot that commodity is not major element in price pressures-- I will think that AG is right when he says that Inflation will be most probably under control but he is wrong when he thinks that ASEAN markets problems will soon visit US shores the kind of rebound you are watching in ASEAN markets can only point ti higher ASEA in next two months-- this would mean that uncertainities around US economy should be reduced but life in investing is not so simple and straight the perpetual professinals like BCA-- who have got it all wrong since last few years will like to see now 'inflation' threat as new weapon to deflate this raging wave of markets.

Watch out for ECI-------------- carefully it is tri monthly and keep a close eye on it any major set back will only come now on heals of hourly earnings and ECI--

I was stopped out on both the positions 320 and 330 long at 324 instead of 326.8 never really got a chance to get a fill after VLSI announcement-- slightly profitable but not quite as much as yesterday's close--

I am quite confident about SOX it is one of those gradual slow moving charts in my opinion best kind of movement it does encourage people to step aside and sometime is quite discouraging but in my opinion this is best kind of gradual formation and hopefully rebound from 312-314 area and I will be looking to go long in this region same strikes April if TXN stay above 20 days MA that 57 and INTC maintains 89--note the conditions carefully.

I think this is an anamoly to see Dell moving up so sharply and semis drifting down again by conventional wisdom either Dell valuation is over extended or semis were beaten down on week- end profit spree-- from detail examination of durable goods and after aircrafts seeing elctronics as one of the main benefactors I would suggest to look at this sell off as an entry ocassion I will suggest to long from here again if 320 is taken out or initiate position at 312 with a stop loss at 307-----

I am liking this stock paging network and also UAM formation-- ASND after 40 is heading for 50- but 40 is a formidable resistance.
