Every year as long as I can remember*, the Pats were always accused of being part of the pathetic AFC East, therefore being able to rest players, then getting lucky or cheating to win the conference. Granted this is not the Brady/Belichick Patriots, but it's still the same Krafty franchise. I therefore can't see using that against them. Rather, I think, as Bill so eloquently pointed out, the Patriots are somehow incapable of being sinners, hence are "the chosen team".

I think it is interesting that everyone talks about the Patriots, not the Seahawks.
