Every time I look at that word - I know - I'll add some vinegar and salt and... Harrumph. Yes, that would definitely decrease the number of cucumberances that they have due to lower mail volume. Don't say "sic" to a puppy! :-) But seriously: They now have a neat new feature which brings in additional revenue - they have an app the ties into their scanning/processing system of letters and packages. You receive info and email, if you wish, about the mail that is headed in with pictures of the front of the mail or package - actually really nice. The additional revenue is that the pictures of the commercial mail come with ads from the company that sent the mail. I'm sure there is additional income due to that. If you're interested in that, search for "informed delivery USPS". However, a major burden to the finances of the USPS is from significant unfunded liabilities related to pension and workers' compensation costs.
