Perhaps God tells a person what should be done, but leaves the choice of what is actually done with that person. If they make the wrong choice, they pay the price. God must be pretty bored to be amused by a game like this. Kind of like solitaire. Except God (in theory) already knows and (again in theory) provided all the machinery to navigate the maze in the first place. Doesn't sound all that likely. Maybe it's more like a chip factory where a wafer (generation) is produced but the useful yield is only some percentage. I'll stop now.
