The sad thing is that the pro-war lobby in the Congress tried to hamstring his first term and impeach him on the phony Steele dossier where they tried to entrap the Trump campaign. Trump is pursuing 'war' with Russia on multiple fronts than just Ukraine and probably avoiding a direct confrontation on the advice of his generals. A loss in Ukraine is a major setback for those who backed the war and can expect to be replaced by new politicians and generals.
