I know that the discussion has been loosely hypothetical here, but I've seen the phrase "virtual integration" used on the DD thread more than once, and I always assumed it was an extended typo. But I'm willing to be publicly (virtually at least) humiliated if this is really the term you mean. I thought that virtual integration had to more to do with telecommuting than with production models. Cheers, William ps - kudos to all of the regulars here from a longtime lurker.
