Re: Inference and power demand This creates opportunity for investing in other tech that reduces power consumption. For example there is a tremendous amount of activity in optics going on to reduce Datacenter power requirements while at the same time increasing bandwidth and reducing latency. Copackaged optics is a really hot topic (pun intended). That will happen in the horizontal first then go to the vertical. Both have implications at the PCB level. We'll see optical layers coming into copper multilayer boards and I expect into midplanes and backplanes as well in due course. Optical board to board connectors are going to be a challenge and growth area as well.
