The initial version of WoA didn't come with current DirectX graphic drivers. As well as many game developers bypassed drivers and talked directly to GPU cards. This was the issue with much of the poor compatibility of legacy Windows applications.

Qualcomm catching up with DirectX12 was key to better compatibility via the MS emulator. I suspect Apple made their iOS emulator compatible in a similar manor, although one rarely hears about Apple's GPU supporting DirectX. fwiw

The main holdout pieces of software are kernel level drivers notably used in:

1) VPN software
2) Game anti-cheat features

I myself cannot recommend snapdragon for enterprise use until 1) is remedied (for Cytracom Control One specifically) but I enthusiastically adopt them for personal use and recommend them as well exactly because of the excellent performance and battery efficiency.
