RE: If the processor speed is the criterion, PowerPC chips should have killed Pentium by now.

Was the PowerPC fully Windows compliant? Do you have the right war?
Does not the DEC Alpha released in Nov run NT4S and NT4W? (This is not a W95 machine!)

DEC has always had good stuff, just doesn't do well at marketing.

Just getting caught up on some responses. In case no one else responded, MSFT says NT 5.0 should beta around middle of this year with ship date 6-9 mths after. Alpha has always been 64 bit.
