Miles:

A comparison of the 89 and 55 day Moving Averages has a 38% spread between them... That might be where the 62% figure comes from... 55 is 62% of 89...

You might want to study more basic TA before trying to understand Fibonacci sequences... All you really need to know is the sequence... 1,2,3,5,8,13,21,24,55,89, etc... These are natural support and resistance moving average areas that have statistical significance...

The Fib retracement % values are indeed often used by technicians. Hmmm I think I see ACRT somewhere in those numbers.
