Shege, I read that same statement earlier and for some reason figured he meant to say by being the number one player in customer satisfaction or something to that effect. I mean what VP of Marketing isn't savvy enough to figure out that being the number one player in the marketplace is not the solution to managing torrid growth. It's the reason for it. But focusing on being number one in customer satisfaction is definitely the way to manage it.

Mr. Shege,

For the record, a "cyberposium" is not the same as a course taught by the socratic method-- no need to dis HBS. Besides, I'm sure Mr. Schmaier had some very insightful things to say about Siebel and SFA.

Now that I'm through giving you grief, I'm gonna agree with Melissa and counsel any potential short sellers not to do it, unless you're some kind of expert stock timer and close your position quickly. Siebel's on a roll in corporate America and is executing very well.
