Richebacher et al in those pubs seem terribly pessimistic, but it won't surprise me if we see 40 - 50% off the top when it lets go. I have a friend who I used to work with -- when the market approached 5,000 he gave me several stern warnings and I got out of some tech positions because "he finally got to me." Now he is part of a group that manages a few billion dollars of retirement money. He's over 60% invested with his own money and doesn't want to hear any doom and gloom talk now that he's managing this much money. BTW he's older than the average fund manager -- he's in his 30's.
