Rosemary... I don't know how long you have been following or own JBIL but when it is up, it is up fast. Take a look at the chart back in August when it cruised above 50. From there it went straight to a high of 72 in less than 6 weeks. The only other stock I own that does this is DELL. Today's gain w/o any news is what JBIL likes to do before earnings. If there is news being released but not yet released, that's even better!

Hi Rosemary,

I caught the run from 37-46 but am kicking myself now for missing this latest spurt. I also caught the run in CPQ from 28-36 and was busy dumping all my shares today at 33. I'll probably be kicking myself for that real soon also! If you go to Jbil's home page you can download the list of upcoming events. The next event is the Schroder Investment Forum Mar 1-3.
Mr. Sansone is excellent at getting the good news out and the stock usually pops after he speaks. The message he is currently putting out is the same one he gave at the annual shareholder's meeting on Jan 22.
Asia only 6% of revenue and insignificant, haven't felt any negative affects yet, currency devaluation will reduce costs at Malaysian plant, adding new customers (ie. GTW), business is good, expect to meet est. for current Q and remainder of '98.
I called Jbil IR before the shareholder's meeting and got a summary of this news. It sounded good to me so I bought. The stock popped and then I guess everybody forgot about it for a while.
Mr. Sansone gives the same news at BA RS conf. and here we go again!

Do you think the market will care if the "news" is old and supposedly already factored in the price? I hope not because I've got a bunch of homeless CPQ cash looking for a place run free and multiply.

Regards,
Lee
