hello again Bill,

This little tidbit from the Segall's filings with the SEC regarding your claim that they intend to collateralize positions and then dump their BTIM shares -

4. I agree that for the duration of the period for which my margin
loan from Montgomery Securities is collateralized, in whole or in
part, by the Securities, I will not sell, and I will cause all
persons who are considered the same "person" as me under Rule
l44(a)(2) not to sell, any shares of common stock of the Company.

<<If you examine the deal they made with Abbot closely, it is crystal clear that Abbot understands the true scope of the market.>>

Would you care to illucidate further on this point rather than just shooting from the hip? Could you be referring to the progressive royalty structure? Could it be that, if this is your beef with the agreement, Biotime may be viewing this favorably?

Oh, I do not like to stick my neck out as much as you do but I think BTIM has finished the large part of it's correction. I think that 12 is bottom for now. Volume has been drying up on the dips for the last few weeks and you know the saying "volume goes with the trend".

One other item of interest. In the same 13D from last september, Montgomery Securities agreed to not allow the Segall's shares to be loaned on short trades - so that's about 100k less liquidity for you. That may be standard language for the 13d but I thought it was interesting nonetheless.

Jim

Bill, I think I'll wait until the market turns against Biotime before I short. The same goes for Bfit, msft, yhoo, amzn.
Have you already shorted Biotime?

Currently I've shorted Iomega. I'm looking for wdry to get to $24 again, for my fifth ride down to $23. I'm going to watch Novell (on Barb's suggestion) for the TA to turn down for a short in the next week.
