Jethro: I would guess the Oppenheimer "focus" list is like the Merrill Lynch "focus stocks". They are the no-brainers which they want their retailing staff to push. As impressive as was BAY's reaction to this recommendation (if, indeed, this was the main cause of the rise) measured against the muted reaction fo CSCO and COMS to an arguably better recommendation, ti should be noted that both those stocks had better gains the day before than had BAY. So maybe there is a bit of catching up in MM allocations between the networkers. But who knows: I rather suspect that there are more upgrade recommendations in the pipeline. Victor
