Hey Gottfried,

IBD's rankings move pretty quick, don't they. It was just a few weeks ago that Oil Service was first, now it's last. IBD's rankings, I don't think, claim to be anything more than a relative performance ranking for the last 6 months. Which is fine. VL, on the other hand, suggests you pick stocks from their top ranked sectors, which I have found to be ridiculous. I have only been subscribing for the last 4 years, but their sector ratings have been pretty poor during that time. Duke pointed out that semi's were top ranked during their big fall a while back. My Dad, who has subscribed on and off for around 30 years says that their system used to work much better. I still usually like their individual rankings though.

This Bullish % thing that we just love around here makes sense to me too. As far as ESV is concerned, I think that its fundamentals are among the best in the group. And in a group where estimates for next quarter have been revised downward by nearly everyone, as of last night ESV has had only upward earnings revisions. I started back into them also. Hope we are both right. In fact, to show what a nice guy I am, I'll even let you invite me out to your boat after we both make zillions on it!
