Jody, the articles don't say anything at all about DSC's equipment. It
really could be a number of technical glitches that lead into this.

Chuck, you did great in guessing the direction. Sometime it really
takes a little bad news such as the WSJ article to move a stock!

Ben, thanks, it is nice to be back also. I really don't play the CALLS
and PUTS game. I either sell my holdings or buy. This strategy
has always worked for me. I believe the reasons for the stock hold
back were three things: 1. Slow down spending rumors of RBOC's.
2. Pending MCI/Worldcom merger that may slow down equipment purchases
for one quarter and 3. Cellcore may be a drag on earnings.
DSC finally got out there and said that they are in fact seeing an
increase in spending from RBOCs for 98. They also said that MCI will
increase equipment purchases during the merger. These are really
great great news and cleared two clouds and if they make enough money
by selling equipment to RBOC and MCI then who cares about loosing a
few pennies to Cellcore. I believe the stock will head towards 23/24
level very soon before it pulls back to 22. After that, the next stop
is 26. Good luck guys!

p.s. Tom, I am sorry about your VLSI holding with today's profit
warning. I was thinking about buying some for myself but thought I would wait until the uncertainty over the first quarter earnings clear up. once it bottoms out due to this negative news, I believe it'll be great investment and very quick turn around story. I am watching that one very closely!
