The news of lower receiver costs is great, Noel. Earlier today, I looked up some numbers for the big cable companies. Only three cable companies (Comcast, TCI, Time-Warner) have over 3.5 Million subscribers. Comcast (with about 3.5 M subscribers) has a footprint of about 40,000,000 POPS. With over 300,000,000 shares outstanding, they have a Market Cap. of over 10 Billion. Remember than Home Shopping Network is making Comcast a cash cow. Still, it really is astounding how many more employees cable companies have to hire (per POP) than dss companies. Comcast is a leader in cable and is preparing for high- definition broadcasting.
