Just catching up on this thread so don't mind the 2 week lag.
At least if I see like responses I'll feel somewhat justified in my response. I've been thru Due Diligence, in real life.
I strongly agree with your comments regarding a "conversation with Steve". When I went thru the process it involved bookeepers, lawyers, accountants, official papers and microscopes checking every orifice in the company. This is true DD! Few, if any of us, have the ablility, access or luxury of time to do this type of a review for our stock purchases. If you are like me, the best resource we have is the internet. If you can find your stock you can get news, financials and other people's opinion of the stock. I have had some tell me that the last item is not important. Horse Hockey! What drives the price of a stock anyway, faith?!
I will say I'm not invested here, yet. The news today (IMHO) put a big pin in the balloon pulling this stock up. Yes I read it carefully, the deal isn't dead but the line to the anchor they've been using has been severed. In my opinion they're drifting at sea right now.
Damage control (backed up by facts) will be their best salvation.

Back to the point, do your homework, I did, and couldn't get an "A", withdrew and am waiting for next semester. (having a wife back in college does strange things to your mind!)

Best of luck to all here but GO AVBC!

Jeff
