Mr. Picker: Re the possible conflict of interest between House's involvement in Intel and Bay - the thought has occurred to me that it must be very difficult for House and Grove, who I understand are still squash or golf partners, not to discuss matters subject to their respective commercial, competitive interests. I am sure that House must have substantial contact with his former colleagues at Intel and, again, it must be difficult to converse without touching on areas of conflicting interests. I have always supposed that on balance the relationship is good for BAY despite the potential for conflict of interests. As to House buying another 100,000 - that's asking a lot. For a good part of the last 18 months I have owned more BAY than House and most of the directors and am always a bit concerned at how little some directors own. I have felt quite exposed at times wondering what they know that I don't. I would like to see other directors than House buying shares. (By the way, I do not own that quantity any more although I still have a sizeable holding). Regards Victor

Dear Mr Picker - SV culture probably is rather incestuous <VBG> Besides, CEOs and Chairmen are routinely boardmembers of other cos - most likely on friendly terms. Besides, both [INTC and BAY] are also investors of other cos, such as ATHM. While it'd like nice to see a grand gesture [that Dr House buys mo BAY stk with his own money,] my guesses are that he may have so much stk options that he can't keep so much stk.
