Paul: with all due respect, do you mind telling us what that 'evidence' might be ? (besides the pronouncements from this guy at Smith Barney)

Ps: As you can tell,I own some CPQ besides DELL and hence the question.

Thanks for your answer. That article from the "Fool" that I posted wasn't very clear to me. First it suggested things were getting better, then it seemed to say the opposite.

I dumped my 1000 shares of COMPAQ at the bell. Anytime I hear the word "slowdown" or words "channel stuffing", I prefer to sell first and ask questions later.

Hopefully things will improve in the future. I also heard Joe Kernan say today that Lucy Painter did not agree with the downgrade and upgraded COMPAQ, although I did not see anything confirming this.
