Skipperr: Sorry it took so long to answer your questions. My 2 yr. old is napping and maybe now I can catch a few minutes... Skipperr on Feb 26 1998 11:11PM EST 1. What broker do you recommend? I just started out with Dreyfus online... I've heard good and bad but their comm charges ($15) for a handfull of contracts is pretty good. 2. Do you use real-time quotes from the internet that are imported directly into technical analysis software like Omnitrader or Metastock? Yes, I use real time quotes (PCquote) but for charting I use cbs.marketwatch.com. May move up soon to smoething else though.. but, end-of-day is generally sufficient as I no longer trade intraday.. too hectic and not profitable enough. I look for solid 2-5 day trends and trade based on those. 3. Do you use option-specific software (measures premium, delta, etc)? No, but I should! 4. What market timing strategy do you use? Stochastics and short term movin average. 5. Do you follow a set-procedure at night to get ready for the next day? If so, what works for you? Not really.. a pre-open scan generally is my setup along with a check of SP500 future prices on Globex. 6. Do you just buy? Do you sell naked puts and calls? Do you buy or sell straddles and strangles? I only buy and sell calls/puts. That's enough questions. I hope you're really successful.
