Christine Grace Bartley ! What a lovely name. Christine, over the last four years we have been called most any name we might think of but Masochists seems to come to mind. Folks over at the AOL Chat line think we are a "Cult " and a few of us claim to know more about Trinity Biotech than anyone else. It makes us think we are real smart since we have done more homework and therefore deserve more success. Unfortunately, for some investors, it also means that we are more susceptible to Blind Faith. It appears your timing might have been slightly off jumping in over $ 3.00 and some have purchased closer to $ 6.00 when it did spike up in April and May of 96. Chasing a stock is a common fault that some investors should be very wary of. Fundamentally, Trinity Biotech has never been stronger in the past four years than I can recall.We hear that they continue to hold a very substantial position in Selfcare ( SLF) worth several million dollars. I know of no other company with very little debt selling at $ 2 with cash equal to 75 cents per share ? I am sure your aware of their technology and the fact that Uni-gold is just now hitting it's stride and with the recent news out of CDC , I am sure they have positioned themselves to target these new markets. Rumors we are hearing that they are acquiring a new modern large facility in Ireland and hiring 100 personnel...Why ? Not for Twinkie sales ! Smith Kline Beecham just announced a marketing agreement with Trinity Biotech in which they will market the Unigold HIV products in Africa. Other JV are to follow with SKB I am sure. We even hear rumblings of the Big Gorilla, ( Abbott ) joining the fray in POCTesting.....Boy ! wouldn't that validate the direction we are heading with Trinity ? Bring 'em on.... why is the stock at 2 bucks ? I dunno. Baffles me !
