TLindt,

The same thought had occured to me about a direct rebuttal to
analysts comments. Some observations / opinions follow. Readers
can skip this post if they want.

1) In the past when I have an analyst's comments directly rebutted
in a public forum; the analyst community has closed ranks around
the analyst in question and punished the stock.

2) The lemming factor may be in play. So many company managements
over the years have tried to cover up failings that analysts smell
smoke when these disagreements are aired. Also, you don't want to
be the last analyst to downgrade/warn your cliental after the stock
has dropped 50 plus percent.

3) The way this entire thing was handled, downgrade 2 weeks before
conference, no mention in BARS website indicates there is something
more that a difference of opinion between CKFR management and BARS
analyst.

4) Mr. Whipple is the missing shareholder from a buyout that I was
trying to identify who was selling. Thank you BB. Why did CKFR want
that CHARMIN anyway?
