Wow, lotta posts. I don't know much about this Bishop character, beyond his Corriente fame ('corriente' means 'current' or 'creek' in Spanish, I wonder what the Bishop faithful name that creek -g-), or Carter, really, though I've been meaning to get around to subscribing to his stuff. But Kaiser I know and respect, within limits, for the way he explains things and organizes data. His December Bottom-Fisher is a reference work I use all year, and his essay on the use of the internet by investors last spring or early summer was extremely well-thought and well-expressed, imho. He tells you why, and is a big enough man to give out a mea culpa where appropriate, sometimes. I'd like to believe that he's above this sleazy, "give me a dollar and I'll be your friend" sort of routine with the companies, and I don't begrudge him the subscription fees, much.

This Midland Walwyn booklet is quite an effort, 64 pages, dated February 1998. Some on how diamonds are formed and found, quite basic, two great graphs on Grade/Value Relationship of pipes around the world (George likely knows this - the 23rd Congress pipe values at $720 US per tonne). They are x/y graphs, giving US$/ct and ct/t, showing "NWT Pipes Versus The World", and the NWT comes out looking good. Other graphs - Surficial Size of Pipe in Hectares (smaller than average in the NWT), Diamond Grade in Carats per Tonne (better than world average in the NWT), Diamond Valuation in US$ per carat (lower than world average in the NWT), and In Situ Value of Ore (NWT a little better than average at $116/t, but nowhere near 23rd Congress, Mir, or Kimberley).

There is way too much to type, and nothing on Winspear we don't know. Briefly, they cover three stocks - ABZ, DMM.B, and SUF. Aber is a 1-Buy, the other two 3-Hold. A raft of juniors get honourable mentions, among them Winspear. If you have a Midland account, or have a friend with one, it's likely worth picking up a copy.

......... cheers ................. macros
