As of 7:15 CET Gold spot is up $1.10 to $295.65 and Silver spot is up $0.08 to $6.26 in overseas trading.

This is a great site which is updated every 15 minutes and actually works, unlike Kitco a lot of the time.

Ahmed, IBD is Investors Business Daily out of Los Angeles, Ca., a daily newspaper. It, like the Wall Street Journal has daily commodity futures updates with vol/O.I figures. I haven't found an online source for O.I yet, if I do I will post.

I didn't track the price relationships of the different futures months during silver's move at that time, but I think news of backwardation was being publicized in the early part of Dec.
