I'm not sure who is correct in this debate, but I sure am glad I sold my SNUS shares a few weeks ago. I invested pretty heavily in biotech several years ago and lost alot of money. I started trading at H and Q a few months ago, and they got me into biotechs again. The ride with SNUS reminded me of why I don't like to invest in biotech. Namely, it's a crapshoot. Relatively independent of how good a product may be, it all depends on FDA approval. And some of that is based on efficacy, and some on politics. I hate being dependent on a government agency to determine whether I make or LOSE alot of $$$. I work for a government agency (VAMC), and would not put alot of my money on a bureaucratic agency making the correct decision...
I still own some XOMA and LKST, though...
Good luck to those still in SNUS. Hope it makes a bundle.
