Maybe it's just my imagination, but I've not been seeing as strong a correlation with the Asian markets and US for some time. The last couple of weeks especially. I think that there is a decoupling that may have more to do with current strength in the US markets with the beginning of the year money, as well as the safer haven of US economy.

NEW YORK, Feb 27 (Reuters) - Deutsche Morgan Grenfell said
it restarted coverage of a group of networker companies after
new analyst Paul Weinstein joined the firm.
-- Cisco Systems Inc was rated a buy. Cisco was
unchanged at 66-1/2 in morning trading.
-- 3Com Corp was rated a buy. 3Com was up 10/16 at35-13/16.
-- Bay Networks Inc was rated a buy. Bay was up3/16 at 33-5/8.
-- Cabletron Systems Inc was rated a hold. Cabletronwas off 1/4 at 15-1/4.
