Mar, Someone already posted that they met. Apparently, everyone involved kept mum for fear of being subpoenaed by Starr.

Martin, I believe they were meeting last week and the reports were that the analysts were extremely impressed with NETA's plans. There are several posts on the thread about those meetings.

* Network Associates held its Analyst Day yesterday before a crowded audience. Tone very positive. Product integration of newly acquired companies is clear co. focus and synergies appear to be building.
* Company eloborated on mission to be leading network security and management vendor for NT platform. Reiterated growth prospects for A/V market, help desk, and security.
* Clear that NETA intends to leverage suite strategy to gain share on price basis. Suite strategy and aggressive pricing to be key selling point against competitors offering limited point solutions. Average deal sizes expected to grow through value-added extensions and cross-sell opportunities.
* Service desk to be growth driver in FY98, security FY99, and enterprise in FY00. Windows NT 5.0 necessary in 2000, not in FY99. Investment in sales to continue-850 going to 900 in Q1. Enterprise sales growing from 15 to 40 as NETA will aggressively seek global contracts-major opportunity.
* Believe NETA delivering on stated objectives. NetGen consolidation nearly complete and expect Trusted Information integration to be smooth based on mgmt track record, focus, and vision.
