re JEF: JEF is most of crew from the Drexel-Burnham-Lambert and Michael Milken junk bond crowd--the ones that didn't go to jail. JEF owns most of an interesting little operation traded as ITGI - it looks to me like they've been keeping the stock price depressed to pick up the rest of the outstanding stock. Check out ITGI home page- very interesting operation.
