There is no doubt that improper care has limited this species growth in the real world environment. Perhaps it's because the head researcher isn't used to growing things outside of the labratory environment. I spoke with the rep at length about this and said that I felt they were shooting themselves in the foot... and making it hard even for those of us who are on their side. The leader seems surprised at our reaction, which is hard for me to understand. He needs to learn that "If you say it, do it. If you can't do it, don't say it. If you say it and don't do it you look like a fool." Perhaps when Jake meets with him he can help him understand why this is a bad idea and how to better package his results so they will be accepted by the scientific community. One thing that is hard for me to understand is why we see so little growth off of pushes that would send any other species skyrocketting. Sometimes I feel like we're hitting a golf ball with a driver and it only goes 3 feet. In some ways slow steady growth is better, but this seems ridiculous. :-)

My family started a business in Brooklyn which grew to over 10k employees. My mom and two uncles never finished the 7th grade. They were strictly street smart, successfully negotiating contracts with the largest retail stores in the US, they ran a very profitable business. But, they most likely could not tell you what EPS was. But boy did they know how to run a business. My gut feeling is that this is the scenerio we have here. I dont know because I have never met 1001 but will very soon. If I am right thats ok because profits are profits and maybe he will realize this and hire someone (brad) to handle that end. Like I said I am guessing and can be totally wrong but I am only going to say this on this thread for fear of death threats (kidding). I am sure that 1001 knows what EPS is but I just wanted to get the point made about being street smart not book smart.
