Sean: I am not an 'expert' on anything let alone 'shorting',you may want ask that question to McNabb brothers.<gg>

I am not questioning the fundamentals of the company just trying to make a few bucks.

Well aren't we all ??

Sorry I couldn't be of much help, but someone might have an idea.

Sean: It seems that most who have shorted Dell on price and volume alone have been burned. I think it's risky to short a stock like Dell on anything except bad company news or bad news for the economy. I think you're more likely to make a few bucks by going long on a dip and selling when it rebounds.

Have to admit, I have turned a thought or two on that in my head as well. But I have seen too many people get burned at the stake trying it. Trying to get this one in a trading range is a very dicey game. There are plenty of of other stocks out there for games like that.

I think the best idea on Dell is to wait for any dip whatsoever and buy some more long. No way that's going to happen until after split, though.

Sean: Provided of course that there's a dip. I don't see any before the distribution of the split. If you buy now you might make those few bucks before there's any dip.
