fumble, don't forget the big attraction of ATM for third world countries. They can use the millions of copper wire already planted
over the years;they won't have to replace that. ATM will compress over 1000 fold the same info that went before in a copper wire;iATM can also connect copper to fibre and viceversa; it is truly a universal type of networking technology,a proper groom? bride?, GG, for the web, gg.

Thanks for the education, where does ISDN fits into this.."OT" I am signing up for ISDN line, I checked about T1 line but too expensive.
ATM also expensive for individual use. Cable not out there yet and if you get it there are very few ISP so steep price and no competition.
