Whipsaw, If you told the average person in 1990 that the dow would rise to 8500 you would get the same reaction one gets if they call for Dow 3000 . The fiendbear site that I posted earlier has a nice table of bear mkts since 1900 - it is a good reminder that stocks can go down-substantailly. Did you read the Kutyn articles he thinks China will devalue the yuan and cause major problems for the world mkts. I expect bad news from asia will do this mkt in. Earnings will be hurt but people don't buy earnings now they buy momemtum. I feel the inevitable bear mkt will be far worse than most people imagine. Momentum in reverse. Mike
