Father E.
<<<< Do any of us with knowledge of the computer industry really think that after 2000 the computer market will continue its unabated growth? >>>
Yes: No problem, nobody going back to pencil and paper, mortgages written in long hand at Bank of America. Computer printout with
data going to Headquarters before one can sign it.
And developing nations will have to get computers or are left out of the internal and international banking industry. Also will
have to upgrade to year 2000 compatible stuff or the American banks
will pull the plug( shut them out so data don't goof the US computers)
We will soon be able to get real music /movies over the internet,
( instead of the limited Midi stuff) and will need new or upgraded computers to do that
