Correction again, ISDN is 2 x 8bit 8000 p/s, you'll have two 64 Kbps
channels sumultanously. So you can have your internet connection,
and still be able to call out, or receive a phone call. With
the right equipment (or s/w) you can combine both channels to one
128 Kbps channel (if your ISP support it), the protocol to do this
is called MLPPP (Multi-Link-Poin-To-Point-Protocol) However 128 Kbps
is nice, but the internet can't deliver this amount of data anyway
at this moment, thus it is a waste of money to setup the second
channel, at least at the moment.
