Actually its worth around 24B. Ellison has too much ego and Lane has too much credibility to just shoot their mouths off and then be proven wrong. Not to mention the lawsuits. My $.02

"I think Oracle is totally worthless. Before an sustained upward trend can be established, Ellison is going to have to show some earning momentum, just talking about it won't cut it. "

With all due respect, Nexgen, if any thing is worthless, its your post. Please consider:

1) ORCL's franchise is clearly far from worthless; check the recent market cap, which according to the previous post is about $24B.

2) What we're talking about here, if you read my post closely, is the current focus on the March 13 earnings release date. So your second comment about Ellison "show[ing] some earning[s] momentum" does not do anything to add to this discussion. We all agree at this point this stock will not head substantially north until the Company "shows the market the money."

I apologize in advance for being so direct, but your post really makes little sense in response to what I had posted. Good luck with your investments.

I don't think it's a worthless situation, however this stock can test ones patients. We will start to see upward movements in this stock close to earnings or not until earnings announcements. You know if Ellison or Lane was up front and cautious with there earnings projections last quarter investors would probably have been a lot more forgiving and the stock wouldn't of suffered as much. I still think we'll see 35+ this yr. So I'm going to give it 6 to 9 mos. If not, 35 + in that time frame, I'll never return nor look back. Thank God I own DELL, keeps me from selling this one at the moment, but I stand to gain substantually, if I can hang on and I will.
